We turn Anatolia's wind into dependable electricity

Nine wind farms, 177 turbines and 591 MW of installed capacity. Every year we generate clean electricity equal to the consumption of about 760,000 households, with every site monitored around the clock.

Karataş wind farm: 120 MW under construction

Twenty-four 5 MW turbines on the Gallipoli Peninsula, due online in Q1 2027.

Kuzeyyel Enerji

A wind farm is not a plot of land; it is a decades-long commitment

Kuzeyyel Enerji started in 2009 with a 54 MW first project near Çanakkale. Today we operate nine wind farms across the Aegean, Marmara and eastern Mediterranean, with a further 270 MW in development and construction. We manage the full life cycle, from wind measurement to decommissioning, with our own team.

  • Average capacity factor of 36.7% (2025)
  • Turbine availability of 98.2%
  • Seasonal bird and bat monitoring at every site

How we operate

Dependable output from every turbine

01

High availability

With our own maintenance crews and local spare-part stores, turbines stay available above 98% year-round.

02

24/7 field control centre

SCADA data from all nine sites is monitored live in Çanakkale; faults reach response crews within minutes.

03

Operating in harmony with nature

We apply radar-assisted shutdowns during bird migration and activity-based curtailment for bats.

04

Local employment

71% of our site staff come from villages and districts around the wind farms.

05

Transparent reporting

We publish production, emissions, safety and community investment indicators every year with independent assurance.

The calculation is for information only. Actual generation varies with wind regime, turbine availability and grid curtailment; the default emission factor approximates the grid average.

Wind farm life cycle

A wind project from measurement to operation

  1. 01

    Wind measurement

At least 24 months of data is collected with 80-120 m masts and LiDAR.

  2. 02

    Permitting and EIA

Licence, EIA, land and grid connection permits proceed with stakeholder consultation.

  3. 03

    Construction and commissioning

Foundations, erection and grid connection are completed in 14 to 18 months.

  4. 04

    Operation and maintenance

Predictive maintenance and 24/7 monitoring for 25+ years of efficient operation.

Stakeholder Views

The five-year wind PPA with Kuzeyyel made our energy cost predictable. The monthly emissions statements are a real help in customer audits.

Most of what was promised when the farm was built was delivered. A water tank came to the village and young people received vocational school scholarships. Our complaints really get a reply.

They met reporting and monitoring standards fully in the Karataş financing. An exemplary sponsor on environmental and social criteria.
