Wind power cuts carbon emissions, yet every wind farm leaves a footprint on nature and communities. We define sustainability as managing that footprint, and we work on three fronts.
Environment
- At least two years of pre-construction monitoring at every site, followed by seasonal bird and bat monitoring throughout operation.
- Radar-assisted turbine shutdowns during migration; all nine sites were covered in 2025.
- Licensed recycling of waste oil, turbine blades and electronic waste; the 2025 recycling rate was 86%.
- Decommissioning and site restoration guarantees for end-of-life wind farms.
Community
- A 2030 target of 0.30 for the lost-time injury rate.
- Targets of 75% local employment and 35% women in the workforce.
- A budgeted local investment programme at every site each year: schools, irrigation, roads and water tanks.
Governance
One third of our board consists of independent members. The sustainability committee meets quarterly, tracks the indicators and approves the report. Suppliers sign our code of conduct; the signature rate reached 92% in 2025.
2030 targets
Reach 1 GW of installed capacity, become carbon neutral in our own operations and publish bird-collision data for every site.
