Bozyel Wind Farm

78 MW with 26 turbines in Ayvacık, Çanakkale; about 260 GWh a year.
Bozyel wind farm was commissioned in 2014 on ridges along the north-western slope of the Kaz Mountains. Twenty-six 3.0 MW turbines on 90 m towers reach a 38% capacity factor.
Because the site lies near a bird migration route, our radar-assisted shutdown system was first installed here. The village development budget funded three water tanks in neighbouring villages.
